This year’s Education Show at NEC Birmingham saw Gratnells partnering with Eden Learning to focus on the opportunities offered by flexible learning environments, where the outside can be brought inside, and the inside taken outside.
By embracing the opportunities presented by the natural environment, students can benefit from outdoor learning activities and extend these projects to class-based activities and further learning. Gratnells and Eden Learning provide a range of products to facilitate this easy transition from inside to outside, offering seating, trolleys and tray-based activities suitable for both environments.
The benefits of outdoor learning are widely known, with children engaging closely with nature, getting a break from classroom routines, and having the opportunity to develop their own investigative skills. Facilitating this in a safe and controlled manner, creates a strong learning experience, which can be a fundamental building block of future interest.
Gratnells Callero trolleys can be used to create a focal point for study and resources within the classroom, while the Rover trolley allows these resources to be easily transported around the school site. Gratnells SmartCases are often used to house Pond Dipping kits, and also teaching resources such as fossils and Natural History samples. The wide range of Eden Learning cushions and seats can be used both outside, and in the development of themed areas within the classroom.
