Keylite Sun Lite™ provides specifiers and housebuilders with a source of daylight in challenging areas. Lighting is the most visible building system, which directly affects the aesthetics and image of a building and business, not to mention being responsible for affecting mood, comfort, productivity and health and safety of a building’s occupants. Sometimes a conventional Keylite Roof Window may not be an option due to certain obstacles.
In this situation, artificial lighting would be installed into an area of a building, which can contribute to high electricity costs for a business as well as the danger of poor quality light for employees.
Natural illumination is the best form of lighting and Sun Lite™ works by collecting available daylight into a polycarbonate dome and transferring it through a highly reflective metalised polyester tunnel to the area below that needs brightening.
The flexible design of Sun Lite™ from Keylite, guides natural daylight into areas such as corridors, stairwells and bathrooms, in a quick and simple installation, even around obstructions. Available with either a ‘flexible’ or ‘rigid’ tunnel to suit challenging areas, Sun Lite™ is designed to fit in all domestic, commercial and industrial applications. Depending upon building requirements Sun Lite™ can be installed in either flat or pitched roofs. Tile, slate or plain tile precision flashings can be specified that integrate seamlessly with all other roofing materials.
“Natural daylight is the best form of lighting and Keylite can now supply specifiers and housebuilders with this option even when obstructions limit the use of a Keylite Roof Window,” says Jim Eastwood, Marketing Manager at Keystone Lintels.
