Playdale Playgrounds have recently worked alongside The White Lion Recreation Association based in Wiltshire, helping them on their project funded by the People’s Millions. The People’s Millions is a scheme run by the Big Lottery Fund partnered by ITV, whereby 131 community projects across the UK reached the final public vote stage.
The White Lion Recreation Association was lucky enough to be showcased on the ITV regional news programme where viewers could vote for the projects they thought were most worthy to receive the money. The White Lion Recreation Association’s submission to use the money to upgrade a recreation area won the hearts of viewers in the South West region making them deserved winners.
Playdale were invited to tender and were delighted to win the project with Area Manager for the region, David Whiteside working alongside the committee members to design a playground suitable for children of all ages. David commented, “The association carried out a lot of consultation with the local residents and had a clear idea of what they wanted to achieve with the park. It then fell to me to make sure Playdale’s submission met their criteria as closely as possible”.
The White Lion Recreation Association chose products from Playdale’s stainless steel ‘City’ range including a ‘Big City ‘ and a ‘Little City’ unit ensuring children of all ages are catered for. The association also chose items from Playdale’s established ‘Adventure trail’ range, which together provides lots things for the children to do! Simon Killane from the committee stated “the community is delighted with the new equipment in the Park. Each play unit is sturdy, innovative and most importantly keeps lots of active children amused for hours each day. Playdale have helped us choose and installed fantastic play equipment for our park. Come and play with us and you will soon agree!”
