Ben 10 Promotes Science and Engineering in Primary Schools
Published:  23 November, 2011

Explore the Solar System with Ben 10 is a new and completely free primary teaching resource, with curriculum mapped lesson plans, for 5-11 year olds. As well as engaging lessons and state of the art interactive whiteboard material, the pack contains a fantastic Solar System poster for the classroom.

Namco Bandai, distributer of Ben 10 video games and Cartoon Network, producer and broadcaster of the Ben 10 animation series have created the new teaching resource using the power of Ben 10, superhero and galactic crusader, to promote science and technology to children in primary schools nationwide.

Ben 10 is a force for good, not just on games consoles and TV screens but as an important classroom ambassador, supporting teachers with informed resources that are an important first step towards engaging, enthusing and captivating children in science and engineering.

Ben 10 guides pupils around the wonders of the solar system and gets them to think about the relationships between the planets as well as showing them how to make a balloon rocket! There is also a lesson for children to design a galactic go-kart for the superhero and enter it into a fantastic schools competition to win theme park tickets, computer games, books and more.

The teaching project is completely free and available to 5,000 primary school teachers from November.

Any teacher wanting to request the resource can email lukep@rapportgroup.com or phone 020 8973 0040. The resource packs will be available on a strictly first come, first served basis.

Look out for Ben 10’s new game…
