Because it can replace many conventional appliances, saving space and simplifying cooking procedures, it was chosen to replace two brat pans and a pasta boiler for the new kitchen at Alsop High School, Liverpool.
“You can’t burn anything on it or boil a pan over,” says catering manager Angela Morrison. “Once the settings have been punched in you can walk away and get on with something else.”
Easy to clean, the appliance brings new levels of versatility, speed and ease of use. In tests, it took just 65 minutes to deep fry 75kg of food in six batches - compared to 120 minutes in a conventional fryer.
