SportsArt makes servicing of fitness equipment a priority
Published:  17 June, 2011

Whilst the very nature of accidents and breakdowns are unpredictable, there are some things that can and must be planned for by anyone looking to maintain trouble free operation of fitness equipment.  Apart from the inconvenience of failed equipment, you have a legal duty of care to ensure that all operating equipment is maintained to a safe standard, ensuring maximum care has been taken to avoid any possible accidental injury to users of the equipment.

Mark Turner, MD of SportsArt Fitness UK reported, “Regular scheduled maintenance not only demonstrates that you have addressed duty of care issues, it ensures reliability of equipment operations, longevity in use and best possible return on your investment - so you know it makes sense!

Although SportsArt manufacture a comprehensive range of fitness equipment, its engineers are highly trained on all makes and models of cardio and strength training products that enable us to offer ‘flexible servicing packages’ to meet individual requirements and budgets. A service report informs of what work is required, prioritising items for attention and provides an estimate for reinstating equipment to optimum condition.”

Mark concludes, “A ‘Total Care’ service package can be cost effective as preventative maintenance can often protect equipment from becoming seriously damaged if remedial action is taken.

Also, a service contract with a bona-fide company provides you with documented material evidence to demonstrate that every possible care has been taken to maintain equipment to the highest safety standards. In turn, this shows the school, college or university puts the safety of all its students first!”
