The Southampton consultancy, which is at the forefront of sustainable building design, also undertakes on-going work for the University of Southampton and the University of Portsmouth.
A triple contract with The University of Portsmouth includes BREEAM Assessment and ‘AP’ services for the New Theatre Royal and the new £10m Eldon Building. Henderson Green are the University’s engineering consultants for the academic building to be built on the former Victoria Swimming Pool site.
Rob Pratt, Henderson Green’s Chairman and a BREEAM Accredited Professional said, “It’s fantastic to be winning both new clients and repeat work in this climate. We are delighted to be working with the University of Winchester and Southampton Solent University for the first time, and to build upon our long-standing relationship with the University of Portsmouth.”
Henderson Green are Accredited Professionals (APs) for BREEAM, the leading assessment tool designed to help both construction professionals and clients understand and mitigate the environmental impacts of the developments they design and build, and this is advocated at Government level.
“These recent university contracts are challenging, varied and exciting and as specialists in sustainable solutions, it’s great to be offering our BREEAM and passive design expertise to local universities too,” added Rob.
Henderson Green is an industry leader in sustainable building design and last year marked the Consultancy’s 10th anniversary. The Consultancy specialises in renewable technologies and the design of engineering systems for complex buildings, both new build and refurbishments, from the smallest contracts to major capital developments up to £50M and in all sectors.
