Multiple choice heating and cooling from Zehnder
Published:  08 March, 2011

With a wide range of radiant heating and cooling panels for the differing requirements within a school building, creating a comfortable, efficient and functional learning environment with Zehnder couldn’t be simpler.

Ideally suited for use in the education sector, ceiling mounted radiant heating ensures all valuable working wall and floor space is free for teaching purposes. Moreover with their ability to achieve energy savings of up to 40% on alternative heating methods, and a capacity to operate with renewable energy sources, they provide an extremely economical and energy efficient indoor climate solution.

For general class room use the Zehnder ZRP is the ideal product. Compact and unobtrusive in design it can be perfectly integrated into any installation. Finished with an anti-bacterial coating and insulated with 0-rated phenolic foam for added fire protection, it also meets the necessary safety requirements.

In noisy areas, or areas where noise control is beneficial, such as libraries, music rooms, school halls and corridors, then the Zehnder Carboline is the answer. In addition to its exceptionally fast response time and year-round heating and cooling function, the Zehnder Carboline also conforms to ISO354 for sound absorption. The perforated acoustic panel can be changed to absorb different frequencies of sound and is individually designed for each project.

Larger areas such as sports halls give rise to different issues and the Zehnder ZBN has been designed with these in mind. With long panel runs they can extend to 120m and being made from 1.25mm steel they are able to withstand ball impact. Lights and ball deflecting guards can also be integrated into the panels for greater functionality, and acoustic insulation provides well needed sound absorption.

Easy to install radiant panels require minimum maintenance and all Zehnder panels are approved to EN14037. Additional advantages include minimal air movement, which reduces dust and bacteria dispersion to help allergy sufferers, and silent operation to prevent disturbance.
