Enhance your children's creativity and showcase their talent on TV!
Published:  08 March, 2011

Here’s your chance to let your talented kids shine. With Blue-Zoo, your class can get their creative juices flowing and even have their work broadcast on Olive the Ostrich, a brand new animated TV show on Nick Jr. from Autumn 2011.

Blue-Zoo (the animators of popular shows such as Kerwizz, Alphablocks and Get Squiggling) has teamed up with Nickelodeon and The Prince’s Foundation for Children and the Arts to offer schools a fantastic opportunity to take part in this brand new educational initiative.

Olive the Ostrich will be the latest animation to appear on Nickelodeon’s preschool channel Nick Jr. and kids are going to be given the chance to put their artistic skills into action creating all the characters, props and scenery in every Olive story. These will then be brought to life by Blue-Zoo animators and many will feature in the final televised episodes!

Narrated by Rolf Harris, Olive the Ostrich buries her head in the sand and goes on a different imaginary adventure in every episode. Laura Ellison, the voice of Olive will be touring schools in the UK offering kids between the age of 6 and 9 the opportunity to take part in art workshops where they will learn about the process of storytelling, art and film-making.

The workshops are a fantastic, fun way to inspire creativity in the classroom. And this unique opportunity is one which we hope will excite teachers and pupils alike!
