Market-leaders of scholastic products Helix have now produced an innovative range of Sharpeners with the ultimate safety feature.
For years, teachers and parents have been concerned at the number of instances where students have been able to simply unscrew the blade from screwdrivers presenting a significant health hazard. For Back-to-School 2007, new Sharpeners from Helix will incorporate a patented antitamper screw that prevents students from removing blades, providing reassurance to teachers.
“Our biggest concern with all School products is safety and we at Helix are proud to launch the first truly safe selection of sharpener products to students,” said Helix. “The unique screw head means that students will find it a lot harder to remove the blade, and we recognise that this offers a high level of assurance to parents and teachers.”
The new range of 13 Sharpener products for 2007 include a variety of bold designs and shapes that are fun and fashionable, all created to stand out from the crowd. There are also a number of products designed for technical students as well as standard sharpeners with the added safety feature.
The new ranges include:
- Metal single and double hole sharpeners in eye-catching colours and interconnecting shapes
- Plastic barrel, twist or hinge action sharpeners with clear windows and shaving collectors
- Technical range of metal single and double hole sharpeners
- Combination sharpener & erasers
- Jacket erasers that complement the shaped and coloured sharpeners
