Score a winning goal with Samsung IT
Published:  01 June, 2007

This summer, Samsung IT will launch of its latest technology innovation for the education sector. Named the Q1 Ultra, Samsung’s new Ultra Mobile Portable PC has been developed to provide a new type of flexible technology platform and true mobile computing for the education sector. Nicknamed the personal learning tool of the future, the Samsung Q1 Ultra is part of a Samsung initiative to cultivate and inspire the classrooms of the future.

The beauty of the Samsung Q1 Ultra is its portability. Light and compact, it can be used anywhere in the school grounds from the library, to the sports field and at home. The device is an interactive learning tool that supports both students and staff with up-to-the-minute information. Additionally, the Q1 Ultra allows students to work together to create a collaborative and interactive learning environment. The Samsung Q1 Ultra also helps students access school materials such as books and keep up to date with scholarly activities and events.

For teachers, we know that communications is key in any learning environment. With full email and web connectivity anywhere and anytime, students and staff alike are able to stay in touch via options such as instant messaging, Voice over IP and online chat. Samsung’s Q1 Ultra also has green benefits as it offers a paperless solution to learning through on-screen notetaking, saving time and trees.

In conjunction with the launch of the Samsung Q1 Ultra, Samsung IT would like to offer two schools the chance to send five students to Chelsea Football Club ‘Football in the Community’ training clinics over the summer.

The ‘Football in the Community’ programme is a week long training clinic, designed to provide a fun, motivating environment for children to develop their football and social skills. Kids are placed in relevant age groups and take part in player coaching, small side games and mini tournaments.

Samsung IT can offer places in the course running from 20 August to 24 of August in Furzedown REC Tooting (London). These places are open for boys or girls aged six to 12.

In order to enroll kids, we need to have all competition winner details by Friday 6 July. To enter, simply tell Education Today why your school deserves a place at the Football in the Community Camp.
