DK's Eyewitness series has transformed the world of children’s non-fiction publishing by presenting comprehensive information on a wide range of topics in a clear and accessible way and will shortly be celebrating twenty magnificent years. The Eyewitness series offer clear and specific facts, records and timelines which are accompanied by striking colour photography and impressive design, providing a one-stop shop for everything children need to know about anything.
This summer, DK are relaunching the series publishing four new titles to add to this already impressive collection - Ancient Iraq, Modern China, Great Scientists and Oil along with 12 new editions of the bestselling titles. Now updated for the internet generation, the guides include a free CD, wall chart and dedicated website in addition to the existing extent and design.
Readers can choose to download one of the 100 free images from their clip art CD or make use of a variety of multimedia resources on the Eyewitness mini-site www.ew.dk.com, including quiz sheets and a feature on how an Eyewitness book is made
Also on the mini-site, children will be able to join a virtual community of Ancient Roman Soldiers where they can create their own warrior by choosing their face, hair, eyes, skin tone, nose, etc.
