Epson announces the launch of two new versatile desktop projectors, ideal for use in schools, colleges and universities. Both the EMP-83e and EMP-X5e, offer the quality and security features typically associated with higher range projectors, combined with an affordable price tag.
Both models deliver clear, bright and defined images in all lighting conditions thanks to a high brightness of up to 2200 ANSI lumens and a high XGA resolution of up to 1024 x 768 pixels. A low brightness setting of 1500 ANSI lumens can be selected for use with interactive whiteboards.
To combat theft and ensure peace of mind, the 83e and X5e, come fitted with advanced security measures. They require a password to be entered whenever disconnected from the mains power, and can only be operated via remote control, as there is no control panel on the projectors. Simply put, they will not work if removed from the premises without access to the pin code and remote control.
To further discourage theft, there is a bold security warning message on the projector case in bright orange, and window stickers and posters are provided stating that ‘It’s not worth stealing Epson projectors’. The 83e and X5e both display an additional warning message each time they are powered on, highlighting that the unit is potentially stolen if it is not being used within an educational establishment. The message can be easily customised to include the school’s contact details.
The 83e and X5e are big on security but do not compromise on quality. Utilising the latest 3LCD technology, you’ll enjoy brighter, more natural colour reproduction and crisp, smooth video playback.
The EMP-83e EasyMP network monitoring technology gives advance notice of any potential maintenance required, eliminating the expense, inconvenience and time spent solving and problems after they occur. Via a web browser, email alerts are generated, providing essential information on any problems, including when projector lamps need to be changed.
Maintaining the attention of your audience is crucial to successful lessons and presentations, and both models make this easy to achieve. Epson’s A/V Mute Slide function allows the presenter to pause and mute projection instantly and easily by simply closing the lens slide – perfect when the presenter wishes to remove attention from the screen or write notes on a white board.
