3M sponsorship
Published:  15 May, 2007

At the Library & Information Show in April, 3M, a leading supplier of systems for libraries worldwide, announced its sponsorship of the 2008 campaign to “Get London Reading”. The campaign, led by independent charity Booktrust, aims to encourage Londoners to make more time for reading and to promote London as an international centre for books.

Carla O’Brien, Senior Marketing Executive for 3M Library Systems said, “We are proud to join forces with Booktrust to support Get London Reading. It is a fantastic initiative and fits perfectly with our strategy to help “create a living library”. We are looking forward to helping public, academic and school libraries in London challenge their communities to get the most out of their local libraries leading up to and during the campaign period.”

With a product range that includes RFID systems, 3M SelfCheck solutions, security systems and circulation accessories, 3M offers the widest range of products in the industry - all designed to free up librarians’ time to help readers use their resources more effectively.

Catherine Large, Head of Development at Booktrust explained, “Booktrust is delighted to be working with 3M on its Get London Reading campaign in 2008. Their commitment to innovation will inspire us to find new ways to encourage Londoners to make more time for reading next year.”

The deadline for promotional ideas to be sent to Booktrust is 1 October 2007.
