The winning formula for cross-curricular learning
Published:  18 June, 2009

Cambridge University Press partners with Williams F1 to bring the excitement of Formula OneTM to the primary classroom.

Race to Learn is an easy-to-use interactive CD-ROM for children in Years 5 and 6, for use over the course of a term, during a topic week, or as an exciting and educationally-valuable treat for children after SATs.

Race to Learn brings a cross-curricular approach to learning. Children form racing teams, undertaking tasks including investigating air resistance, balancing the budget, and pitching for sponsorship. Each task is linked to curriculum objectives in such key areas as Science, Maths and Literacy.

Developing children's group-working skills within a highly-motivating real-life context, Race to Learn engages even reluctant learners with rewarding activities and exclusive behind-the-scenes content.

Representing their schools in a nation-wide race for exciting prizes, teams can choose their favourite work to enter into the Williams F1 Fast Track competition.
