Schools urged to doodle their bit for epilepsy charity

Schools across the country are being encouraged to put pen to paper as part of National Doodle Day. The event, on Friday 2 March, raises money for UK charity Epilepsy Action. Pupils and teachers will join celebrity scribblers including Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park, David Cameron, Miranda Hart, Joanna Lumley and Rolf Harris by taking part in the event.

Designed to promote creativity and leadership

Arts Award is a national qualification which supports young people aged 11 to 25 to develop as artists and arts leaders. Through the award at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels (which are recognised at Levels 1, 2 and 3 on the Qualifications and Credit Framework), young people can explore any art form including performing arts, visual arts, literature and multimedia.
