Pilot supports Eco-School
Published:  19 June, 2008

The Pilot Pen Company has recently teamed up with Long Eaton School, a specialist science college and Eco-School, in Derbyshire, to work on a marketing-led research project.

Long Eaton is one of almost 9,000 Eco-Schools registered in England and Pilot has been working with the college on a science related project in the field of product research, maths and science.

John Cotterell, Pilot's National Account Manager (Education), commented: "Long Eaton was the first school in Derbyshire to achieve permanent Eco-School status. We felt that there was a natural fit with the college's Eco-School status and our own BegreeN range of recycled writing instruments.  Their work has been invaluable to us and provided a framework for further development."

Pilot has also recently agreed to support the launch of the Long Eaton School Cycle Training Programme. As well as providing pens to all participants, the company is also offering complete sets of BegreeN pens to the highest scoring students on the 3-day course.

The Long Eaton project was part of a wide range of campaign research initiatives for BegreeN recycled writing instruments.
