Resource for use with interactive whiteboards
Published:  01 February, 2007

Schoolchildren will have the chance to learn about the work of the world's biggest animal welfare organisation thanks to a fun new set of online lessons for use with interactive whiteboards. The new education interactive resource, an internet computer programme colourfully animated with cartoon characters is aimed at five to 11-year-olds.

The programme features short videos presented by Kate Thornton, quizzes and games. It aims to educate pupils about the work of the RSPCA, animal welfare and charities. It has been designed for use with an interactive whiteboard but can also be used through a personal computer.

The new resource can be used as part of lessons about science and citizenship. It provides support for teachers including instructions about how to use the programme to teach pupils about animal welfare and the work of the RSPCA. The programme can be accessed online or downloaded from the RSPCA's website.

The new interactive resource is available on www.rspca-education.org.uk . For more information about the RSPCA's educational resources visit: www.rspca.org.uk/education
