New generation modular projection system
Published:  15 May, 2008

3M, the diversified technology company, announces the availability of its second generation Super Close Projection (SCP) product combining pioneering short-throw off-angle projection with a modular wall-mounting system for greater flexibility and performance at an affordable price.

The modular system was previewed for the first time anywhere in the world at BETT 2008 and feedback from end users was extremely positive for its ability to scale from a basic data projection only product up to a high specification multimedia solution, depending on customers' specific needs and budget.

The SCP712 projector features revolutionary Vikuiti Super Close Projection technology from 3M, which enables presenters to work in close proximity to the screen with minimal shadowing and lamp glare. It can be attached to a fixed or swinging arm wall-mount, available with or without powerful 40W stereo speakers. The patented swinging arm mechanism allows the system to be safely stowed and locked away when not in use.

If greater connectivity is required, customers can add the easily accessible, simple to use I/O connection box that connects with the SCP712 via a single cable. Furthermore, for customers wanting to use the system above dry erase boards, or even smooth, light coloured walls, the annotation pod can be added to turn these surfaces into interactive whiteboards.
