The new Cardinal Hume Catholic School has been purpose built thanks to a £24m government grant. Formerly St Edmund Campion Roman Catholic School, the secondary school for the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle has been relocated from Wrekenton. The new building is predominantly over two storeys with a five-floor tower on one side. It is designed around a central atrium which is an internal social area and contains the library and refectory. A multi-use games area and sports facility are also included.
Altro worked with architects GWK to supply a fully integrated interior solution at the school, providing high quality and high performance products which create a stunning design throughout the new facility.
