Art competition could win youngsters a real tiger, rhino or crocodile!
Published:  15 May, 2008

The online children's art competition website, www.minimecardco.com is giving children the chance to win sponsorship of a wild animal for a year by entering their own card designs into its current competition.

The creative competition is run by the Mini Me Card Company and is open to children of all ages. The lucky winners in each age group who impress the judges the most with their card designs will win a year's sponsorship through the wildlife charity WWF to protect a wild animal that is under threat in its natural environment.

Not only that, every youngster who enters will receive a free sunflower growing kit and a copy of their design turned into a card as a memento.

Individuals, schools, or any groups of children from pre-school all the way through primary school can enter their card designs at any time, with new entries being judged at the end of each month to win the top prize.

Mark Sutcliffe, who runs Mini Me said: "The competition is particularly popular with groups and school classes of children who enter together and then not only receive a free card and sunflower kit, but can then adopt an animal as a whole group."

Cards can be personalised on the back with photos of the budding artist and proud parents can order sets of cards which make great greetings cards for special occasions. And for every order placed, a commission is paid to the group organiser meaning the competition also raises funds for their group or charity activity.
