Performance monitoring online

Teachers at St John the Baptist Primary School in Hampshire have devised an internet-based system to produce continual assessments of pupils online, ultimately leading to the end of year report.

Called School-rapport, the system is easily accessible to all teaching staff at school or at home, and  allows performance monitoring, targeting and tracking of pupils with continual updates in a carefully controlled online environment that cannot be compromised by other users.

Feedback has been exceptional; parents say the School-rapport reports are very easy to understand and informative. And according to deputy head Elaine Merriman: ‘School-rapport has given us a holistic approach to understanding levels of attainment across the school, feeding into the development of outstanding target setting. It provides a living document that we use throughout the academic year'.
