Perse School for Girls in Cambridge recently completed a major building project, adding a new wing to the Senior School that settles effortlessly within the setting of this 125 year old school.  The new construction is home to a new kitchen, dining & hospitality area and washroom facilities.

Following consultations with Debbie Forster, Deputy Bursar at the school, and the schools' nominated design team, Nic Banner of Prochef Catering Grantham, designed and installed the new ergonomic kitchen and front of house hospitality area.  Interior design was undertaken by Paul Waight of Rival 4.

Part of the installation included a custom made, curved, foodservice counter by Victor Manufacturing.  The white fronted, horse shoe-shaped counter with matching lowered ceiling incorporating overhead lighting, has direct access to the kitchen.

The servery has a Silestone counter top inlaid with stainless steel stud tray run and features, under counter LED lighting, hot and cold display sections, roll under hot cupboards, salad bars, water and plate dispensers and additional storage space - giving Chef, Iain Tokley and his catering team the flexibility to create and serve a wide and varied, weekly changing menu.

The flexible configuration of the counter means, the hot food bains marie section can be covered over with coordinating insets allowing for ambient usage.
