Going green

Pilot's BegreeN range is helping educational establishments meet their social and environmental management goals.

Covering nine product categories, BegreeN is the world's first and most comprehensive range of writing instruments made from recycled plastic. The range includes eco-friendly versions of many of the UK's best-selling writing instruments.

In many cases green product options are often more expensive but what we like about this range is that it costs no more than a non-recycled counterpart.

Top marks

Pilot's BegreeN V Board Master is a new high performance whiteboard marker, which features the very latest in ink technology and a wide range of unique features.

According to Pilot, its specially formulated ink gives outstanding results, with intensely bright writing, sensational fluidity and a unique Twin Pipe FeederŪ system, which ensures a constant flow of stable, dense ink without shaking or pumping.

John Cotterell, Pilot's National Account Manager (Education), commented: "This is an extraordinary new product and its green credentials are second to none as it's made from *91% recycled material and it's refillable too, which also makes it one of the "greenest" markers on the market."

Are you on the WhiteLine?

Popular with teachers and pupils alike, Pilot's BegreeN WhiteLine retractable roller corrects mistakes instantly, with no drying time, no drips, no odour and no mess. WhiteLine's 4mm x 6m tape is completely opaque, with no bleed-through or smear - just smooth, consistent coverage every time.

The correction roller's green credentials are excellent as it's made from *88.4% recycled material and because it's refillable too, it makes it one of the "greenest" correction tapes on the market.

Creating FriXion!

Innovative and clever, Pilot's FriXion erasable rollerball allows the user to write in the normal way but the ink can simply and quickly be erased by friction-generated heat, using the pen's special end stud.

The concept is a simple one but the pen's ink technology is complex as it uses MetamocolorŪ ink technology, which has taken years to perfect.

The ink is not actually erased but becomes translucent at a temperature of 65°C and has a recovering temperature of minus 20°C - around the temperature of your average freezer.

FriXion is now available in wallets of 5 assorted colours, which make ideal teachers' sets.

Exclusive recycled Gratnells trays

A selection of Pilot products are available in handy Gratnells trays including products from its BegreeN range, which are now available in trays made from **100% recycled plastic.

* % of total weight excluding consumables (ink and refill)

**Lids and inserts are not yet made from recycled materials
