Toshiba News: Teachers Teach. Technology just works.

Replacement Projectors

Many projectors in schools are coming to the end of their life and are due for replacement. The expectation is that this is a simple swap out for a new one but this hasn't always been as straight forward as it should be. It can sometimes be a costly experience as the throw distances older projectors operated within is longer than current projectors can manage. The result is the image size needed from the existing ceiling mount cannot be achieved.

No-one wants the extra work or expense of repositioning existing ceiling mounts and brackets or purchasing longer cables. Toshiba identified this opportunity to make the installation process much simpler, faster and cost effective for the school by developing the Toshiba T95.

Minimal Disruption

To avoid disruption in the classroom, moving ceiling tiles and extra installation costs, the Toshiba T95 is a simple replacement solution. It simply bolts up to your existing ceiling mount using a conversion plate and reuses the existing cabling.  This insures there will be minimal disruption to your classroom and an accurate image projected onto your whiteboard.

Why is the T95 so Special?

The Technology behind the T95 projector allows the flexibility for it to be fitted between 1.8 and 2.8 metres away from the Interactive Whiteboard. It can do this because it is fitted with a 1.6x optical zoom which provides an increase or decrease of the image size by 60%, allowing an accurate focus of the image onto an Interactive whiteboard. It is the only projector in its class to feature the flexibility to be mounted 1.8 to 2.8 metres away as many of the projectors available today have a range of only 1.8-2.1 metres from the screen or whiteboard.

Security Features

Security in schools, especially for audio visual equipment is a key issue and projectors can sometimes be excluded from insurance policies. The Toshiba T95 features pin code protection, panel lock, a Kensington slot and user logo capture to ensure that stealing the projector is not in the thieves' interest.

Vibrant Colours

The T95 uses DLP Technology with Natural Colour Enhancer 2. This technology delivers more natural screen colours without reducing brightness - perfect for presentations with vivid colours and high levels of detail which really bring your lessons to life!

Short Throw Projectors

Toshiba developed short throw projectors to improve the wellbeing of teachers by reducing glare in the presenter's eyes and shadowing effects caused by the presenter and pupils.

The ST20 Classroom Package is an all-in one solution that encompasses the DLP projector, easy mounting wall mount and a control panel that enhances the security and ease-of-use of the projector in the classroom. With one touch on the control panel, a teacher can turn on the solution instantly and start the lesson.  It can even be preset to automatically switch off in the evening should the teacher forget to do so after usage.

The solution has been designed to be sited very close to the whiteboard and angled, thereby dramatically reducing both glare and shadow effects. Easy to install, it is practically maintenance free and  has been designed as a future-proof solution, making it an asset that won't be outdated with the technology.

The Toshiba ST20 Classroom Package uses BrilliantColorTM and Toshiba's Natural Colour Enhancer 4 to reproduce amazingly sharp images that have outstanding vibrancy and colour. This improved colour definition makes it an ideal solution for projecting the media rich content that teachers increasingly use as part of their lesson plans.

With the Toshiba ESP Classroom Package it has never been easier or more convenient to use interactive technology to make classroom learning more memorable and engaging.
