A full range of Altro wall products were chosen for the project, including Whiterock pastel wall cladding in the kitchens, Chameleon wall cladding in the bathrooms, and Zolatone wall coating in every corridor in the school.
Robert Charlesworth from Caterham School said; "We were really delighted with the range and finish of the products available from Altro. The finished effect looks great and has really given the school a really modern feel. We have more projects in the pipeline, all of which I will definitely be using Altro products for."
Whiterock is a grout free, alternative to tiles that is ideal for areas where hygiene is important. Altro Chameleon is perfect for areas such as shops and bars where aesthetic value is vital.
Altro Zolatone is suited to areas that come under a lot of daily wear and tear such as corridors. This cost effective, highly attractive wall cladding can be easily patched or repaired if needed.
Ian Henham from the Miler Bourne Partnership, the architects in charge of the project, said: "We wanted to use high quality products at this installation as we have had problems in the past with tiles as they can crack and go mouldy. With Altro wall cladding, this problem is eradicated, leaving smooth, durable walls which not only perform, but look great too."
