The latest addition to this series, designed the engage students with literature, is King Lear. Developed by English teachers and theatre-in-education specialists, each resource combines:

  • Powerful full-cast audio drama which students enjoy and absorb
  • Scene-by-scene commentary and analysis which removes barriers to understanding and sets the social and historical context
  • A comprehensive range of audio-linked materials which develop crucial study strategies, enabling pupils to formulate, support and express ideas with confidence; to achieve their potential, whatever that may be
  • Read-along scripts to print, view or project for the whole class
Designed to be easily absorbed, the commentaries explore and explain language, imagery and themes. Leading by example, they demonstrate critical thinking skills, model debate, discussion, essay planning and writing.

SmartPass Teacher presents unabridged plays with PassMaster options, so teachers can play the drama with or without commentary.

Says English Teacher, Miriam Oakley, "The PassMaster's observations and questions enabled my students to make high-order emphatic responses. Everyone in my class passed GCSE English Literature."
