Low energy doors are perfect when doors are used manually most of the time, but when assistance is required can be opened under power, by pressing a push-pad.
There is a wide range of manual closers too including cam action closers designed so that when the door is pushed open the force required reduces very rapidly, ensuring compliance with BS8300 and Approved document M. Fire doors need to remain closed. However in high traffic areas this can be a problem.
