Education Show special : Door control solution for every application
Published:  01 February, 2007

DORMA can provide correctly specified door types and controls to comply with SENDA and the access needs of people with disabilities. Automatic sliding door systems are ideal for heavy traffic areas and automatic swing door systems can be used for both internal and external door applications.

Low energy doors are perfect when doors are used manually most of the time, but when assistance is required can be opened under power, by pressing a push-pad.

There is a wide range of manual closers too including cam action closers designed so that when the door is pushed open the force required reduces very rapidly, ensuring compliance with BS8300 and Approved document M. Fire doors need to remain closed. However in high traffic areas this can be a problem. DORMA offer a range of electro-magnetic hold open closers which allow unobstructed access yet ensure that the door closes firmly in the event of a fire. Emergency exit devices must be consistently reliable and full door-width touchbars offer a good solution. A complementary range of locks and door furniture is also available.

A free, comprehensive 16 page, step-by-step guide is available, to help select the correct SENDA/DDA compliant door controls for your applications.
