Mercury Launch New WEEE Website

Mercury Recycling has created a new website to provide simple, no-nonsense advice and information on all aspects of the WEEE Regulations. The WEEE Directive was fully implemented in July 2007 and makes business users, manufacturers and retailers of electrical and electronics equipment solely responsible for making sure their goods do not end up in landfill or incineration, where the toxic chemicals, metals and associated solders, glues and plastics can cause environmental and health problems.

The variety of products in any one company that come under WEEE can be staggering and Mercury Recycling's service means that disposal can be made easily via a single source. Bryan Neill, Managing Director of Mercury commented, "We have received many enquiries on the WEEE Regulations and decided to create a new website to give a simple explanation of the regulations as well as offering an easy solution for the disposal of goods."
