The project, which replaced a total of 98 windows and doors in the school, took just eight weeks to complete, during the school summer holidays. All new timber windows and doors were manufactured to match exactly the existing components in respect of design and colour, so that the Bentworth School’s 1930’s appearance and architectural value would be maintained.
As well as creating a more secure environment, the new windows and doors have reduced heat loss, which has led to significant energy savings for the school.
The LHC Network provides solutions for all window and door requirements: for timber, PVC-U, aluminium and composite materials offered on a supply only or a supply and fix basis. The framework arrangements are set up in strict compliance with the EU Procurement Directive but allow LHC Network members complete flexibility to establish their own preferred contractual arrangements.
As the largest public sector specialist for the procurement of building products and services, membership to the LHC Network is free, without obligation, to anyone in the public sector involved in the specification or procurement of building products for housing, educational, health and other projects.
