Mitsubishi launches news LCD XL650U projector for education
Published:  01 February, 2007

Mitsubishi Electric’s Visual Information Systems division, a world leader in the innovative design and manufacture of high quality display products has announced the introduction of the XL650U; a fully featured XGA projector to its comprehensive range.

The XL650U is an LCD projector that has been designed to suit both business and higher education type applications. It produces vivid and accurate images even in ambient light with 4200 ANSI lumens of brightness and a 600:1 contrast ratio.

The XL650U features a new inorganic LCD panel that is more durable then previous generation panels which helps reproduce more consistent colours and natural looking tones over a longer period of time, this in addition to upto 5000 hours of lamp life helps to keep the overall ownership costs of this projector low. The XL650U also benefits from a side loading lamp, which eliminates the need to remove the projector from its installed position when the lamp needs to be replaced, for easy overall lamp maintenance.

Alistair Duthie, Divisional Manager said, “The XL650U comes packed with a host of features such as long lamp life, high brightness, network options and security features, which are all important functions to both the education and corporate markets. The introduction of the XL650U compliments our current comprehensive range and demonstrates our commitment to meeting our customers’ requirements.”

Network management is easy to set up with the XL650U, via the embedded ProjectorView™ and RJ45 connectivity for LAN asset management. In addition the RS232 control enables the XL650U to be integrated with control systems, and an anti-theft security anchor will help to reduce theft.

All of Mitsubishi’s business models come with a three year loan replacement warranty.
