Targetting nuisance noise
Published:  01 February, 2007

In response to growing demand for effective and attractive solutions to noise pollution in buildings, commercial flooring specialist Polyflor Ltd has launched two new heterogeneous sheet vinyl ranges alongside its established Acoustifoam system, to create the Polyflor Acoustic Flooring Solution.

New Polyflor Gallery FX Acoustic - in 14 wood, stone and mottled granite effects and featuring a 0.5mm wearlayer - is seen as especially suitable for residential areas such as aged-care, social housing and student accommodation and also for heavily trafficked areas in schools and hospitals.

New Polyflor Forest FX Acoustic - comprising 10 highly popular wood effects from Polyflor’s existing Forest FX range and with a 0.65mm wear layer - has been developed for use in very heavy commercial installations including schools, universities, hospitals and other heavy footfall public buildings.

Both collections provide a high impact sound insulation of 19dB and feature a polyurethane surface reinforcement (PUR) for reduced maintenance.

In line with Building Regulation Part E, all Polyflor Acoustic Collections are produced in accordance with EN ISO 140-8.
