Respiratory protection
Published:  01 February, 2007

Leeds based Andy Thornton, manufacturer of reproduction furniture, uses a down draught bench from WorkPoint Environments for the sanding and ageing of timber items.

The unit provides uniform suction over the entire surface, extracting dust even at 1m above the AirBench. Integral fan and filters mean the unit is self contained. It needs just a standard 13 amp connection.

Additional respiratory protection is not required when working at the AirBench and there are no arms or ducts to interfere with the large items of furniture being produced.
