Pioneering Enterprise Journey
Published:  06 December, 2007

Students and teachers from England and Poland have been taking part in a pioneering project aimed at increasing the awareness of enterprise and entrepreneurship and building an enterprise culture in schools. The teaching materials produced throughout the project are now available to other schools free of charge.

One Oxford pupil has also been invited to attend a conference at the European Union in Brussels as a result of her outstanding achievement during the programme. Hollie Higa, from Cherwell School in Oxford, will sit on a panel at the ‘GROW People - Planet - Profit: Mainstreaming Sustainability across Regions Conference’ which aims to highlight the results of enterprise projects within Europe with views from project participants and first hand experiences. Policy makers, influencers and implementers will discuss how knowledge gained at this grassroots level can be used to influence policies.

All workshop and teaching materials created for the project have been produced by OEBP and are available free of charge to schools. The materials on the CD cover two programmes: one for Key Stage 4 students; The Road to Enterprise (four workshops), and one for students in Year 12; The Entrepreneurship Experience (three workshops).

To request your copy of the teaching materials please contact Vikki Gledhill at OEBP on:
