Altro Art makes it easy to comply with the rules of the Disability Discrimination Act whilst achieving an impressive unique finish.
The new service means specifiers, end users and flooring contractors can create their own personalised design or pick from the broad range already on offer. Altro’s experts will then work with the customer and the flooring contractor to ensure all requirements are effectively realised on site – whether that is in a hospital, school or retail premises.
As well as offering a complete package for customers, the move by Altro is in line with the Health and Safety Executive’s desire for more design-focused safety flooring.
Altro Art allows you to choose from a range of flooring with a varied assortment of LRV ratings – comfortably meeting and exceeding the requirements of the regulations with minimal impact on design decisions. To comply with the Act, a minimum Light Reflectance Value (LRV) of 30 must be maintained between contrasting floors.
There are seven product offerings that lend themselves to the design and cut service. Within this range, there are LRV ratings from 30 to 85. The ability to ‘pick and mix’ from such a range means compliance can be achieved without compromise.
