A Dor-O-Matic sliding door system has been installed at the new John Atkinson Sports Centre at Myton School in Warwick. This solution from Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies met the Centre’s need for an entrance able to cope with heavy pedestrian traffic and to facilitate easy access for people carrying bags and sporting equipment.

Sliding doors were fitted on both sides of the entrance lobby. This not only provides shelter against bad weather, but also provides a controlled area by which the transfer of external dust and dirt is much minimised.

The Dor-O-Matic slide is a reliable and versatile system available in both bi-parting and single slide configurations. Featuring adjustable opening and closing speeds, the door has automatic opening sensors and an effective opening of up to approximately 2m. It is a particularly good solution when access is required for heavy pedestrian traffic andfor applications where extra width is needed to facilitate the movement of large items.

Safety features include motion detectors, threshold safety beams, threshold sensors, electric locking, panic breakout, monitored battery pack and manual operation functions. Other features, which make it a fully versatile automatic access solution, include adjustable time delay and reduced opening settings.
