NEC Workstations integrate the latest NVIDIA Quadro® graphic cards
Published:  06 December, 2007

Puteaux, 27th November 2007 – NEC Computers has integrated the latest NVIDIA Quadro® graphic cards into its professional workstation range, allowing professional software users to obtain maximum flexibility and performance at an excellent price.

NEC Computers has chosen the NVIDIA graphic cards (NVIDIA Quadro® FX 370, NVIDIA Quadro® FX 570, NVIDIA Quadro® FX 1700) for their unique performance, quality and price ratio.

Providing a revolutionary and unified architecture, the new graphic cards are able to dynamically allocate processing power to geometrical, shadow and pixel calculations, in order to optimise both GPU performance and power consumption. These new NVIDIA Quadro® cards, designed for professional users, are certified by all major CAD, CAM, and DCC applications.

High quality and high precision

For all professional workstation users, high precision and quality are a must. Using CAD (Computer Aided Design), CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) or DCC (Digital Content Creation) applications, professionals need high precision images to maximise visual quality to represent real world elements. This level of quality is essential to obtain photorealistic or highly styled images for real-time 3D models.

NEC decided to integrate the NVIDIA Quadro® FX range in order to guarantee the high precision required to represent the most complex digital models and content. Through this integration NEC Workstations users will have access to the precision and formats used in today’s cinematographic industry.

“By integrating the latest NVIDIA Quadro® cards in our range, we are creating a new generation of professional Workstations that will allow users to gain in both performance and stability, whilst maintaining extremely attractive pricing close to that of traditional PCs.” says Jon Green, Senior Product Manager at NEC Computers, “2008 will be the growth year of hybrid Workstations, for which NEC Computers is already ready with the NEC WA1310. The latter integrates the latest technologies, including NVIDIA Quadro® cards, all at a competitive price.” Benefiting from the latest Intel® or AMD processor architectures and the latest NVIDIA Quadro® professional graphic cards, NEC Workstations are designed to deliver outstanding performances for all applications requiring calculation resources and high level graphics.
