Humorous web films to encourage teenagers to quit
Published:  09 November, 2007

Sexiness In A Stick and The Ventriloquist - two new innovative short films, have been launched by www.quitbecause.org.uk - the youth website about smoking issues. To mark the rise in the minimum legal age for buying tobacco on October 1st, QUIT, the UK charity that helps smokers to stop, commissioned production company Sound Talent to produce the humorous films.

QUIT's Director of Services Ruth Bosworth said, "The minimum age for buying tobacco has risen to 18, but currently 450 children start smoking everyday in the UK. We want these new videos to provoke a reaction from young people and make them stop to consider their own attitudes to smoking. Ongoing support is provided by QUIT advisors on 0800 002200"

The web videos have only been produced thanks to the dedication of a talented team at Sound Talent and are kindly sponsored by Boots.
