Addressing whiteboard projector safety concerns
Published:  01 October, 2007

Lamp glare from projection systems has been a longstanding health and safety issue in the education sector. 3M, the diversified technology company, offers a range of shortthrow projector products designed to help address this issue along with other concerns such as projector heat, shadow interference and untidy cables.

The new Digital Media System 810 interactive wall-mount projector combines Vikuiti Super Close Projection technology from 3M with digital annotation to turn almost any surface into a digital whiteboard or large interactive computer display. It features a built-in interactive pod and an adjustable telescoping arm allowing teachers to project images from 50 inch to 85 inch diagonal and making it ideal for working within different shaped and sized classroom environments. The fullyintegrated super close projector minimises shadow whilst teachers are working on the screen, eliminates projector lamp light shining into their eyes and removes distracting clutter at the front of the classroom.

Also available is the DMS800 which has all these advantages but will work with any interactive whiteboard.
