Organised by Film Education, it is the biggest event of its kind in Europe. The screenings are supported by free online resources suitable for all ages.
The central theme of this year’s NSFW is The World in Which We Live reflected through a range of current and forthcoming films that focus on the environment, social and racial injustice, bullying, politics and more broadly, the world as shown from a variety of different perspectives.
Secondary school students can choose from a range of major releases, documentaries and independent film successes including THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND, BLOOD DIAMOND, AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH, BABEL, LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE, THE QUEEN, VOLVER and THIS IS ENGLAND.
Primary school children can watch a wide range of titles such as: ARTHUR AND THE INVISIBLES, BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA, CHARLOTTES WEB, EARTH, HAPPY FEET, MARCH OF THE PENGUINS, OVER THE HEDGE and TALES FROM EARTHSEA.
