Panasonic offers easy-to-use tools to help teachers and students
Published:  28 February, 2012

Panasonic introduced the UB-T580 Panaboard series at BETT2012. This touch sensitive whiteboard is designed to simplify teachers and pupil‘s experience and increase access to interactive and touch sensitive technologies at school.

Powered by a USB cable connection with the teacher’s PC, UB-T580 Panaboard is easy to operate with a finger or a stylus pen to write on its highly durable surface.

Using Windows 7 allows greater control over the images on screen with pictures being easily manipulated by the touch of a finger or enlarged by stretching and pinching.

UB-T580 comes with Easiteach education application for creating and editing teaching materials. It includes more than 4800 resources, text to speech capabilities, multilingual handwriting recognition, a cloze tool for creating activities that contain sentences with missing words and tools for resizing of objects and shapes.

The Easiteach 1.3 version delivered with UB-T580 contains an improved start screen with option to download content, animations that allow an object to follow a line, rotate, vibrate or bounce on the screen, the ability to add hyperlinks to text objects and import PowerPoint files into Easiteach.

Panasonic has chosen to distribute RM Easirespond, a classroom response system that enables teachers to create engaging learning experiences for their students. Designed for whole class teaching, it allows users to create a range of bespoke multiple choice question and answer style activities using video, animation, imagery and audio to bring questions to life.

Easirespond is built with nine easy to use templates; a wide range of ready-made activities available are designed to help teachers successfully match objectives within key subject areas. A demo video of Panasonic's new UB-T580 IWB can be seen here tinyurl.com/73oc94y
