“Money Back into Education” initiative
Published:  01 July, 2007

The London Teaching Pool Ltd (TLTP), an REC approved and DFES Approved Recruitment Agency, today announces the launch of its new money back into Education Initiative - 80 per cent of its annual net profit will be given back to the education community from September 2007. Schools that recruit teachers via TLTP will automatically qualify for the ‘Money Back’ scheme, receiving a one off payment at the end of the school year based on usage.

The payment will be in the form of cash or high street vouchers, depending on the schools’ preference. The vouchers can be used to buy resources such as sporting goods or IT equipment.

Darryl Mydat, Managing Director of London Teaching Pool Ltd, comments: “The pressure on school funds is enormous. This, coupled with real shortages in teaching staff and the high cost of recruiting teachers, means that schools are struggling to manage resources and budgets. The scheme will redistribute money back to schools - it’s an unusual scheme, but one that will have a very positive impact on education communities.”

Lisa Barnard of The Sanders Draper School says: “We welcome any scheme that can ease the pressure on costs.”
