Increased demand for Foremans
Published:  01 June, 2007

Figures released by Foremans Relocatable Building Systems, the UK’s largest supplier of recycled and refurbished modular buildings to the education sector, indicate that the demand for this highly sustainable approach to construction is increasing dramatically.

In the past three years, Foremans’ turnover has grown by 35%. Sales enquiries are up by 60% and the average project size completed by Foremans has increased by 25 per cent.

Kevin Jones, Managing Director of Foremans, said, “More organisations than ever before are taking advantage of the benefits of the pre-owned approach, particularly in the education sector. Sustainability is a key issue among construction clients and will continue to increase in importance with the impact of global warming and as legislation and tax changes are introduced to reduce carbon emissions.”

Building modules are upgraded and reconfigured by Foremans to the client’s specific requirements, for either permanent or temporary accommodation. This minimises wastage and energy consumption, and allows other organisations to benefit from the advantages of off-site construction.
