BHF launches national teachers’ workshop programme

As part of the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) Jump Rope For Heart (JRFH) scheme teachers throughout the UK are being encouraged to attend a free workshop demonstrating practical and inspiring ways to introduce skipping into schools in an attempt to keep children heart healthy.
These two hour long workshops will be run by a skipping instructor and will show how teachers can easily incorporate skipping into their National Curriculum. The workshop comprise of a practical skipping skills session including single rope work, challenges and Double Dutch, and mini sessions on other BHF school projects including Ultimate Dodgeball and Artie’s Olympics.
By registering your school to take part in a JRFH, Ultimate Dodgeball or Arties Olympics event you will receive a free resource kit that includes lesson plans, a step-by-step organisers guide and equipment to help you run your event. Schools also retain 20% of the money raised from these events to spend how they choose.
Workshops are allocated on a first come first served basis and are subject to availability, so start thinking about getting your school active today.
