Keeping the outside out
Published:  12 March, 2010

Since children often have scant regard for the difference between exterior and interior environments, special precautions need to be taken at entrances through which 80% of dirt and water is traipsed in. High performance entrance mattings are vital for reducing maintenance costs and they should do all the dirty work without children noticing.

The Frontrunner Entrance Flooring System, from Plastic Extruders, is widely used in schools because it comprises different performance mattings, ranging  from a brush system for external aggressive cleaning to an interior open grid with carpet-like surface which provides the final scrape, wipe and dry.  All the mattings can be easily cut to fit any shape - such as within revolving doors or matwells.  Plastex also offers a very detailed Guide which explains the products, solutions and aftercare in order to achieve the very best results for any situation.
