New high definition imaging Duprinters from Duplo
Published:  15 May, 2007

Duplo International has extended its digital product range by adding two new A3 models to its Duprinter stable: the DP-S850 and DP-S550. Capable of running at 150 copies per minute, the new Duprinters offer a versatile and cost-effective alternative to photocopiers and are ideal for councils and educational establishments when producing jobs such as parental newsletters, school stationery, posters, direct mail/flyers, exam papers, invitations and classroom handouts.

The machines print one colour at a the time but changeover takes less than 30 seconds and with 12 standard colours available, plus a matching service, users can select brand colours as required. The new LCD user control panel, makes it easy to navigate the machine and customise the settings for optimal results. The DP-S models also use the faster and more widely available USB type interface, making them fully compatible with PCs and Macs.

Peter Jolly, UK marketing manager at Duplo Comments: “We’ve overhauled the whole look and feel of the Duprinters, making them more ergonomic, and giving them the commercial edge needed in today’s busy print environments. Users will also benefit from an increased stacking capacity of 1,200 sheets, making the machine ideally suited to places where cost per copy is absolutely vital, such as councils and educational establishments.”

The DP-S Series also conforms to Japanese Green Purchasing Standards, making it one of the most energy efficient printer/copiers on the market and has the potential to save the owner up to 90% of their energy bill compared to running a tonerbased device.

Other new features include a custom multi-up print mode and a preview function allowing users to check the print on the screen before commencing the run. Additionally, the new DP-S850 Duprinter can automatically detect paper size to ensure the master is cut correctly, resulting in less wastage.
