Windows on the Web
Published:  15 May, 2007

A new website dedicated to the education sector has ‘gone live’, providing local education authorities, headteachers, bursars and window fabricators with the latest news and information on the specification of windows and doors for schools.

Sponsored by System 10, Education Newsline - available at www.publicsectornewsline.co.uk - features regular updates on Government investment in the educational estate, including the £multi-billion Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme, plus breaking news alerts on design, construction and procurement in the educational building sector.

The online portal also includes an overview of funding streams and links to useful related sources.

The new site is the latest addition to www.publicsectornewsline.co.uk; a unique e-resource providing information for specifiers, fabricators, contractors and tenants on fenestration solutions for the public sector.

WHS Halo, which produces System 10, has more than 20 years experience in the schools sector and is already working on new build and refurbishment projects as part of Wave 1 of the BSF programme. The company supplies a wide range of PVC-U windows, doors and curtain walling systems for school and communal buildings that are fully tested and accredited to satisfy the latest Building Regulations. Bespoke colour options are also available which can be tailor made for BSF projects.
