He has been backed by local MP, Alan Beith who has described the conditions as appalling.
The county council says it is working to resolve the problems.
Mr Hall spoke at Alnwick District Council's state of the district debate.
Council leader Heather Cairns said: "Although education is not a district council function it is an issue that concerns almost every one of us.
"In Alnwick we desperately need a new high school to replace the Duchess's High School, as this building is in my opinion, now unfit for its purpose."
