Neptunus keeps sports up and running at Cranfield

Temporary structures specialist, Neptunus has provided Cranfield University, in Bedfordshire, with a sports facility while its existing centre is undergoing a complete redevelopment.

To make way for a larger sports facility, the University's existing buildings had to be taken down, but in order for indoor sporting activities to continue, an interim solution was required.

Neptunus supplied a 1225 sq m Evolution structure with an 8.5m height, proving ample space for a range of indoor sports including badminton, volleyball, football and basketball.

The fully relocatable structure is complete with insulated rigid wall panels, a specially manufactured playing surface, heating, lighting and climate control to provide a comfortable environment.

To finish, the multi-use sports hall was fitted with divisional netting, rebound boards and court markings. Working with interior fit-out specialist, SLS, Neptunus delivered the entire project within 12 weeks.
