Total interactive learning at TVU
Published:  17 September, 2009

Saville Audio Visual has helped Thames Valley University to create a totally interactive learning environment.

The Learning Innovation Room is equipped with a total of five SMART Boards, each running SMART Notebook software, plus five LCD data projectors around the edges of the room. Students work in small groups, each allocated to a laptop and SMART Board combination. A matrix switcher allows lecturers to select which image is displayed on which board.

David Guthrie, Head of AV Services, said: "The totally interactive experience gets the students out of their seats and involved!" Saville is now installing a second facility within the Brentford campus.
